Engr. Morrison Eghobamien is a multidisciplinary professional whose career reflects a blend of communication, engineering, urban development, and sustainable design. Born and raised in Benin City, Nigeria, he began his educational journey at Salvation Primary School. He later attended Odighi Grammar School, an experience that shaped his strong sense of community and responsibility.
He pursued higher studies in the United Kingdom, beginning with a Higher National Diploma in Journalism (Distinction) from the London School of Journalism, where he refined his skills in communication, media, and critical thinking. Driven by a passion for technology, he earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Computer Systems Engineering from London South Bank University, equipping him with expertise in computing, systems design, and problem-solving.
Seeking to apply technical knowledge to infrastructure and development, Morrison obtained an MSc in Transport Planning and Practice from the University of Surrey, with a focus on transport policy, planning, and sustainable mobility. He further specialised with an MSc in Modern Building Design at the University of Bath, where his research emphasised sustainable development principles and eco-friendly architecture in partnership with the British Research Establishment (BRE).
Professionally, Morrison has held leadership roles, including Area Manager in facilities management in London, overseeing more than 300 staff across diverse teams. His work in the transport sector and facilities management has given him practical insights into infrastructure, energy, and community services, reinforcing his commitment to effective governance and development.
Passionate about Edo State’s progress, Morrison believes in empowering youth, strengthening education, and revitalising technical institutions as keys to prosperity. His diverse training across media, technology, transport, and modern design positions him as a dynamic thinker and leader prepared to contribute to sustainable development, governance, and community transformation in Nigeria and beyond.
