I am seeking the position of Governor of Edo State, Nigeria, to bring together my creative problem-solving skills, community engagement experience, and passion for the arts to drive inclusive growth and development.
With over 20 years as a professional visual artist, I have exhibited globally in venues such as the Dakar Biennial of Contemporary African Art, the World Bank Global Exhibition, Harvard University, and the Nirox Sculpture Park, South Africa. My work, housed in significant collections worldwide, reflects innovation, cultural pride, and the ability to connect with diverse audiences. Through self-promotion, marketing, and networking, I developed skills essential for enhancing Edo State’s national and international profile.
My public service journey began in New York, where I ran a grassroots campaign for City Council in 2009, engaging with communities, crafting policy proposals, and learning the value of participatory governance. Additionally, as Recreational Director at Kingsboro Adult Treatment Centre, I designed therapeutic programs in drug rehabilitation—expertise vital for tackling rising drug abuse in Nigeria.
Academically, I hold a Master of Fine Arts (CUNY Queens College), a BFA in Sculpture (University of Benin), and certifications, including CASAC in Substance Abuse Counselling.
