Honourable Sergius Oseasochie Ogun is a respected businessman, lawyer, and accomplished lawmaker who served two terms in the Federal House of Representatives, representing Esan North-East/Esan South-East Constituency (2015–2023).
Born into the Ogun family of Otoikhimin, Ugboha in Esan South-East LGA of Edo State, he began his professional journey in the oil and gas industry, where he built a thriving career as Chief Executive of an indigenous oil service company, a position he held for over 25 years before transitioning into politics.
Hon. Ogun obtained his West African Senior Certificate (WASC) from St. John Grammar School, Fugar. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Benin, Edo State, and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, Abuja. He is also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School, further strengthening his leadership and management credentials.
During his tenure in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ogun distinguished himself as an active and impactful legislator. He sponsored 66 bills and 61 motions, tackling critical issues of national development, governance, and social justice. His contributions reflected his deep commitment to advancing his constituency and the nation.
