Short Biography

Prince (Dr) Humphrey Egbe Omorodion, born in 1965 at St. Philomena Hospital in Benin City, hails from Uhunmwode Local Government Area and was raised in Benin City by Enogie Patrick and Oloi Clara Omorodion.

He attended Iguodala Primary School and Edokpolor Grammar School and studied accounting at Auchi Polytechnic. After serving with First Aluminium PLC in Port Harcourt and working as a senior accounts officer with First Assets Finance in Lagos, he went overseas in 1992 to study accounting and finance at London Guildhall University (now London Metropolitan University). He earned an MSc from the University of Essex, and his wide‑ranging humanitarian activities were recognised with an honorary doctorate.

He has held senior finance roles, including senior budget analyst and head of budgets at Leeds City Council, managing budgets over N1.2 trillion (£600 m). At just twenty‑four, he served as a senior accounts officer at First Assets & Leasing, demonstrating early leadership. He currently leads Egbe Healthcare Ltd, serving the northern region of England. Politically, he chairs the Labour Party UK, serves as National Director of Finance for LPPMC, founded Diaspora for Obi‑Datti and led the UK Coalition for Obi‑Datti. A former Edo State governorship aspirant under the Labour Party, he advocates social democracy and social liberalism at heart.
